The bungalow, recently completely renovated and modernised, has been adapted to create a dementia-friendly environment. It is the perfect place for people with dementia to enjoy a relaxing holiday with family members, friends and/or carers.

Low level windows throughout the property offer panoramic views – that can be enjoyed from the comfort of an armchair. Warm, muted colours – in all rooms, on traditional furniture, walls, carpets and floor coverings – create a relaxing atmosphere throughout the property.

Natural light from the large double-glazed windows is complemented by good light fittings in all parts of the bungalow. Easy access, good pointers to key areas and a welcoming, safe, homely environment are all features of the bungalow.

A main bedroom and bathroom have been specially adapted for people with dementia through good use of furniture, colour schemes and accessibility. Outside, a wide path circles the bungalow and leads to a peaceful garden area that includes:

• - Seating areas that offer good views of the garden and surrounding countryside
• - A patio area with good protection from wind and sunlight
